Cooling Tower Pan Restoration
Cooling Tower Pan & Basin Restoration
Cooling tower pans and basins take constant water exposure, and corrosion is often well underway before anyone looks. In many cases a properly prepared and coated pan can be restored instead of replaced.
Replacement is expensive and disruptive. TSP Coatings assesses the pan and basin, identifies corrosion, thin spots, seams, and pinholes, and recommends a project-appropriate coating system based on what we find.
Our approach
We assess condition honestly, prepare the substrate properly, and apply a project-appropriate coating system. Where suitable, we may specify a self-leveling epoxy for pan and basin protection and an elastomeric liquid for flexible repair of pinholes, seams, and thin galvanized pans — always subject to manufacturer guidance, substrate condition, and project requirements.
What we cover
- Cooling tower pan and basin corrosion mapping
- Self-leveling epoxy pan and basin lining
- Elastomeric repair of pinholes, seams, and flex points
- Thin and galvanized pan restoration
- Documented environmental logs and before/after reporting
Coating systems
Project-appropriate systems, manufacturer-guided
TSP Coatings works with project-appropriate coating systems and may specify products such as ErgonArmor/Novocoat systems where suitable, subject to manufacturer guidance, substrate condition, and project requirements. TSP Coatings does not claim authorized-applicator status unless separately verified.
- System selection based on inspection and confirmed before work begins
- PDS/SDS provided for the systems specified on each project
- Environmental conditions logged during application
- Before/after documentation and a maintenance recommendation
